Contents

Accessibility in content development is not just a feature but a necessity for inclusivity. Accessible content improves the lives of people with disabilities and the overall user experience, whether through clearer text, accessible tables, images, or multimedia such as videos. At ServiceNow, the journey for accessible content has involved efforts such as fixing tables for accessibility with proper titles, headers, and layouts, as well as enhancing images with impactful alt text. Initiatives such as accessibility training, focused fixing days, and leadership participation have resulted in significant success. The journey, however, continues and future plans include improving video accessibility and content navigability. The presentation further highlights achievements and ongoing efforts to improve accessibility and empower users.

Takeaways

Accessible content benefits everyone. Building a culture of accessibility is the key that can be achieved through trainings, collaboration, and leadership engagement.
