I am a usability consultant and interface and interaction designer. I’ve been developing information since 1997. I am an optimist. I still believe that software might be usable.
I have changed many professional hats. I started as a translator. After that, as a technical writer, I used to explain to users how the software used to work and how they were supposed to use it. I then learned to do user research, so I can understand what stands in the way of users and what they are missing. It was not enough, so I started designing interfaces that are understandable and easy to use without instructions.
Today, I am still working in the area of usability and user experience improvements. I am helping my colleagues and clients to optimize their products for use by humans and thus increase revenues, reduce risks, avoid losses related to disappointed users, and cut unnecessary costs.
