Generative AI (GenAI) has been the new cool kid on the block for quite some time now. And for good reasons... It can be, without a doubt, a great help in the technical content creation process when performing research, when writing content, and when reviewing content. And while many of us see its valuable helpfulness in the later phase of revewing and refining the content (correcting grammar, improving structure and readability, resolving logical conflicts, etc.), GenAI also offers a significant productivity boost during the initial stages of drafting documentation. During this phase, writers gather raw data from subject-matter experts, capture graphical user interface screenshots, collect code snippets, and more, aiming to produce a polished draft. And thanks to the OpenAI GPT-4 with Vision model, this process is now significantly facilitated, easing the burden on writers. In this presentation we will also see examples of how GenAI facilitates this process and how we can tailor the process.
