The workshop is targeted at technical writers from the other domains of tech-com who want to make the transition to documenting APIs.
APIs are nowadays ubiquitous and the API development trend is steeply upwards. The demand for writers who can create API documentation is at all-time high. Tech-com experts who document APIs are typically perceived as better qualified, they have the developers’ respect, and are considered an organic part of the engineering departments rater than liberal arts specialists. If you are a technical writer from another domain of tech-com and want to make the transition to documenting APIs, this workshop will give you both the basic concepts and some hands-on experience of using an API from the perspective of the developer.
