Automating Style Guide Rules for Technical Writing

Many style guide constraints for structured documentation can be automated.

There are a number of standards and technologies that allow this, like ISO Schematron. Along with detecting problems, it is useful also to propose automatic solutions to resolve them. There is a proposed technology for this called Schematron Quick-Fix (SQF), developed under a W3C community group. In this session we explore the available standards using simple examples and relate them to real life use cases. We also look into the possibility to fusion the style guide and the constraints in an intelligent style guide.
